| The USS BUSH is pictured above in Woolloomooloo Bay, Sydney, Australia. The BUSH arrived there on February 8, 1944 and departed February 19, 1944, just ten days before she would participate in the Admiralty Islands invasion. While there, the ship's crew were granted 3 day leaves, with no more than a third of her crew being gone at any one time. Several former BUSH sailors have reported fond memories of their time in Sydney. |
