This photo (taken by Combat Air Patrol) shows the destroyer USS COLHOUN (DD 801) steaming from the USS BUSH after BUSH was initially struck by a Japanese kamikaze plane April 6, 1945. The BUSH is barely visible due to smoke. A fuel slick can be seen in the water. |
COLHOUN was also lost in the same action as both ships received multiple kamikaze
hits.
